BrassCrafts Safety+PLUS2 gas connector combines patented excess flow technology and thermal heat activation with the advanced corrosion resistance, to provide a safer gas connector for your home and family. In the event of a gas line rupture or disconnect, the excess flow valve (EFV) restricts gas flow at the appliance to a non-hazardous level. This immediate action helps avert the potential for a dangerous release of gas into the home. Gas is controlled only at the point where the problem exists; the rest of your system will continue to function. Safety+PLUS EFV automatically resets once the gas line is properly repaired. The thermal component utilizes a thermal ring that will restrict the flow through the valve when the valve is exposed to temperatures of 400F or more. BrassCraft’s stainless steel gas connector also features a proprietary polymer coating designed to withstand prolonged exposure to harsh household cleaning, plumbing repair and masonry products as well as UV rays and salt. Unlike conventional dipped or sprayed coatings, the ProCoat coating is baked directly on the connector surface at high temperatures to provide a uniform coating over the entire length of the connector. The coating is applied only after the connector has been 100% leak tested to provide complete corrosion resistance.
PVC Sch. 40 Ball Valves are compact and lightweight. This Slip x Slip valve is designed for a variety of applications including pressure distribution of cold water in irrigation, pool, spa, agricultural, commercial and light industrial applications and comes in a plastic jar of 12 valves which is convenient, resealable, and reusable. The ball valves are NSF approved and have EPDM seats and O-rings integrated into the durable PVC body.
PVC schedule 40 construction for durability.
Full port design allows for maximum efficiency and minimal turbulence or pressure reduction.
Quarter-turn flow control for easy on and off.
NSF / ANSI standard 372 certified.
Slip connections conform to ASTM D2467.
Working temperature range: 41°F to 122°F (5°C to 55°C).
Maximum pressure rating 150 psi at 73°F (22°C).
Requires solvent cement for installation (not included).
Please note – as temperature increases, working pressure decreases, the optimal working pressure for PVC valves is 150 psi at 73°F (22°C) if the temperature increases above 73°F (22°C), use the PVC. correction factor to determine working pressure, multiply the maximum working pressure by the correction factor, please see correction factor grid on the attached specification sheet.
